I have a few suggestions. 1. You should make inserter stack bonus researches cost more. I think having a stack of 4 with your mod shouldn't be too much cheaper than having a stack of 4 in vanilla. You also have to make sure users can always replace the LGPL code with its newer version if it doesn't break ABI which for proprietary software like Factorio means linking dynamically.

Shouldn't be a problem but of course it's for the devs to decide.

With powers of two there are stack sizes of 32, 64, 128 and 256 items in a purely exponential scale. They're close enough so you can find a nice stack size for any item. With powers of ten you get either 1, 10, 100 and 1000 which is too far apart or have to introduce a multiplier and make the scale ...
