Re: New Research - Drone Charging Speed

Hard no. This would make logistic bots even more overpowered than they already are.

What kind of situation are you running into that this would be important?

Add this one to "why don't we have this yet". This looks like an extremely useful tool.

you can already do that by activating the snap to grid option.
I don't think that's what they were asking for. I think they were asking to be able to manually build the blueprint faster, by just dragging the mouse over it.

Nope, they have the same health as big worms. It's only the biters+spitters that take multiple shots to kill.

Re: A setting on recipes to only output 1 item.

Bumping to add my +1 to this. I've been playing Ultracube, and it's really weird how you can sometimes get 6 speed modules from only 5 casings.

Especially since I'm pretty sure this is already done with quality.

I've never had a worm that took multiple artillery shells to kill.

How do you know that it can't craft beacons? We haven't seen an actual recipe list for it yet.

So help me understand what you're asking for… you want something that does the job of artillery (i.e. automating nest killing) but in a more visually interesting way?

Re: Friday Facts #403 - Train stops 2.0

I think the ultimate thing for making remote control of your factory while you are away is a drone hub cart for trains. Just think of it, it already possible to spread your logistics network by placing new drone posts on the edge of it, but it would make process simply annoying to reach distant ore...

...isn't the whole point of this poll to select new canonical names for the quality levels? Because players didn't like them?

Re: Quality level names poll

For my 2Β’, you could add options for quality names, but the vast majority of players won't touch them. On top of that, the default names will act as the "canonical" names for quality tiers that you would have to use when talking about them with others. So the defaults would still be import...

Re: What if Lubricant was needed for the big mining drill?

I really like this idea. Lubricant (and heavy oil in general) is kind of underused in the current state of balance, and this would be a decent "catch" to the big mining drill.

There's plenty of space on the sprite for extra fluid inputs.

Re: Quality level names poll

Let's please not make Q1 "basic", that feels a bit like you're "supposed" to use higher quality tiers, when quality is supposed to be optional.

Re: Friday Facts #399 - Trash to Treasure

Not super fond of requiring elevated rails to cross the islands, since those are locked behind production science. I assumed you would just be able to concrete over the tar. I probably won't be going to Fulgora first, but I'll definitely be exporting a lot of advanced circuits from the planet, since...

"Perfect" is just missing something. "Flawless", meanwhile, has flair while meaning basically the same thing, so I'm voting for that.

Re: Friday Facts #394 - Assembler flipping and circuit control

Weird, I thought there was a policy of circuit networks acting on the logistics level nf not the production level. I'm going to assume these changes have also been done for other production buildings, like chemical plants. Flipping looks like it will let me really compress some of my refinery setups...

Re: Friday Facts #393 - Putting things on top of other things

How will this work with items that stack to 10, like low-density structures? Definite "yes" to big mining drills outputting stacks, though. That makes them a bit more than just power creep. However, this makes me kinda want quality chests and cargo wagons now, since a steel chest of ore ca...
