Re: Friday Facts #129 - The late game
The forums sure have became crowded lately... :) Yes to pretty much all of the points. I cannot thank you enough for thinking about us completionists with the research! I am precisely the guy that would go into great trouble researching every last technology, just because its there. I have been doin...

Re: Friday Facts #128 - Back down to earth
Maybe there should be a poll or something like this. I don't like the idea, but i think there should be some optimizations: What are you thinking about a stacking/sorter Machine. Maybe big as a factory where the belt is moving through, but instead of storing things in a chest it will stack items of...

Re: Friday Facts #128 - Back down to earth
For the technology tree - I'd like to see the connecting lines be color coded to what science beakers are needed. Maybe even apply a thickness scale so that the science requirement can be seen at a glance. Colour-coding the edges based on science packs required is something I'd never think of, that...

Re: Loader Poll - Trying to get an idea of what the opinions are
Just some thoughts. I think restricting types of items it can accept would go against the whole previous experience of how transportation works in factorio. At the moment anything can handle any type of cargo, with one single split between liquid and solid. inserters can handle with equal efficiency...

Re: Friday Facts #128 - Back down to earth
The hell? Already 13 sites with only 1 day open? How? o_O The loader... it's something I always did think about, because it is so natural. Just throw items directly from the belt inside a chest, or throw the content of a chest on a belt. That's only logical, but maybe really overpowered. Make it RE...

Re: Friday Facts #128 - Back down to earth
... AND generates convenience by loading both sides of a belt for you, automatically balancing it. In terms of game design I have to oppose this entity in its current state. This is so true. With 2 loaders and a chest in the middle, you would get 100% perfect balancing of the belt. and all that wit...

Re: Friday Facts #128 - Back down to earth
One of the concerns I have, and this might not be fair, is that it's really rewarding to watch the arms wave around. They're one of the more expressive motions in the game, I think, and I myself really like having them in sync too. :3 This. Sometimes I just stop and watch the machines work, there i...

Re: Friday Facts #128 - Back down to earth
I am going to go with No for the loader. I think its too OP, and the same functionality can be achieved with inserters. If at all implemented, I would prefer it to be a late game tech, deep in the tech tree, and expensive ( for example costing several lvl 2 speed modules to produce).

Re: Friday Facts #127 - Steam Status III: Thank You
I don't get it. Factorio has been in the top ten best sellers on Steam since launch, and yet the counter on the website has only gone up by around 500. Does it only count the web page purchases?

Re: Friday Facts #120 - Spidertron
That spidertron looks awesome!! Also I love the rough finish on the cement paving. However, when not piloted, shouldn't the spidertron rest motionless? It is a machine after all, it does not need to idle on spot like animals/arachnids... I know its an early build, but I thought I better start nitpic...

Re: Friday Facts #111 - Long term plans
There's an issue with that plan - what's the incentive for you to build a missile? I mean, the game can start with a transmission from your superiors telling you basically "build a missile and blast these guys to bits" and then nothing for 100+ hours, then you launch the missile and anoth...

Re: Friday Facts #111 - Long term plans
Its been a long time since I posted, but I think I will add to the feedback. Platforms - Really not that surprised. From the get to it seemed to me like a massive, massive undertaking. You would basically have to create a whole new tile set, new buildings, and new logistics, and most importantly new...

Re: Poll: Faster crafting speed?
I feel completely the opposite way. I would welcome if the hand crafting was discarded all together, and the early game was bridged by some crafting bench/item/assembler salvaged from the crashed ship.

Anyway, the fact, that there isn't any flamewar here means that our audience is probably quite mature :) The other explanation here is that our demographic is very non-diverse and we only have a very narrow range of opinions here on the forums. :) So you are calling us narrow minded now!? Po...

Re: FFF #100 - So old
Those icons are quite large - will they be this large in the tech tree preview as well, or will you shrink them? I think automated railway transportation may lose a big chunk of readability, i.e. turn into a small nondescript circle with strange appendages. I trust Albert to sort it out, though. ha...
