yea just some nice interface around it in the editor, so it would be more easy for the community to generate more content for the game, increasing the replay value greatly.

some thing to add:
it would also be great to have those text balloons in the editor (the ones we see in the current campaign) that can be triggered at certain moments, so we can make custom missions and such with some more story to it.

This idea makes me remember the old days playing Dune II (Wiki) where you had these Sandworms.
Something similar could be fun in this game, better make sure you make some concrete slabs or whatever to prevent them from surfacing in your base

Maybe a far fetched idea, but i thought it was worth the sharing. Now the water tiles dont have much use beside having some pumps at the sides.
