Deconstruction Planner and storage chests
Hi, I am a little confused about deconstructing. Where can I tell the bots to put it? If I plop down a chest, it gets loaded with everything I have in provider chests and makes a mess! If I use a requester chest, then all of that item (in this case walls) will be pulled from all over the map in plac...

Re: Question about red & green wires
Thanks, I tested the system, and see it is controlled now by the provider and requester chests. It works great! I put down a storage chest, and the bots just dumped everything from all the provider chests into is randomly. I thought you could set what is supposed to do in there. But I guess it is a ...

Question about red & green wires
I am setting up my 1st logistics system and just wondered if I still need to add these wires to everything on the network. I watched Inzania's Utube video on how to set up the logistics, and was just wondering if I still have to do that.

Re: How do beacons work?
Hi syneris,
Thanks for the update. I agree, I use nearly all efficiency modules, and with a power cost of 480 kw, you hav to get a lot of modules close to make them effective.
I agree that though be added to the wiki!

How do beacons work?
I saw beacons on the wiki, they said they are needed to power the modules, but the modules seem to work just fine without them. Are they still necessary?

Re: Feedback 0.9
Oil industry is fun, but the recipies and their producion methods need some tweaking. Please consider moving all the recipies that need solid intermediate products like iron plates etc to assemblers instead of chemical plants. Such things like batteries, engines (as mentioned before), the processin...

Do biters spread to polluted areas?
I hoping to make some more land grabs, and was wondering if the biters will continue to spread to areas that have pollution.
Thank!
Thank!

Re: Question on Gas flow…
Hi, I always seem to have flow problems with my liquids as well, can you take a look at my setup and tell me if this is normal or do I have a problem with the setup as well? I have 2 fluid systems, one on the left side of the base, and one on the right. My concern is with the flow rates, they always...

Questions about pollution and the F7 key
Hi, I was curious about a few things about pollution. How close to the spawn does it have to be? I see that it is nearly touching the base, does the cloud of pollution have to touch the spawner, as I have not yet been attacked and the cloud must be over some of the biters around the spawner. http://...

Re: Question on Gas flow…
Good thought, I had a petroleum set up going produing plastics, and suddenly it just stopped producing, even with full oil pipes. I had deconstructed and rebuilt the whole setup, but could never get it to work at a decent rate again. I will keep trying to see if there is a configuration that works b...

Re: Multiplayer
That sounds like a lot of fun, but I dont favor PVP too much, Co-op sounds great, as people on a hostile world should be worrying about the biters, not each other. I always see other players in PVP who always dominate the game using some trick or cheat they learned. If you plan on doing PVP & Co...

Re: Whats up with the big biters??? Getting creamed so early
The logic behind sending biters is called an evolutionfactor. This has been coming up more often recently so I summed it up how it works on the wiki: https://forums.factorio.com/wiki/index.php?title=Enemies#Evolution At the moment there is no in game way to see what the evolution factor is (except ...

Re: Whats up with the big biters??? Getting creamed so early
Hi immibis, I am using the 0.9.0, since I wanted to use the oil, but I am watching a new series on UTube with the same version, and he only has the small ones. I am guessing that it has to do with making custom maps, as this has happened several times with them. I am now playing a reguar map to see ...

Whats up with the big biters??? Getting creamed so early!!
Hi, I had created a map in the editor, when I set it up I set the rules for the Aliens to Low, Small and Poor, thinking to reduce the Big ones at least till much later in the game. I had only researched Sci Packs 1, and did not have a whole lot of construction in my base, the biter bases were just o...

Help with controls
Hi, I notice that the left mouse button will remove all items on the ground (deconstruct). Is there any way to make that happen on the right click? I cant find the ability to change that in the Game Control Settings menu. I am not sure if that is hard coded, as if I did that then left clicking would...

Re: [0.9] Rays step by step guide for a compact factory
Thats another great setup, very compact, yet has high production!! Really great! Its funny, I was watching a lot of videos and laugh now, as they all were doing what i was, large sprawling bases with so much inefficiency! Nie to see it can be done without drawing huge hoards of biters!!

Re: [0.9] Rays step by step guide for a compact factory
Wow! What a great setup! I have to laugh at how I was doing this before, my Sci Pack 2 production was taking a huge part of my base, making each part and building lots of belts to run each part up to the next assembler. I see now how eveything is tied in and can be confined to much smaller areas wit...
