Re: Another suggestion for the expansion.
However, another thing I don't use is the circuit network. I've found it a bit too complicated for my tastes and the in-game tutorials really don't explain it. Using the circuit network for balancing light and heavy oil cracking was my first usage of the circuit network. You cannot really do withou...

Re: Another suggestion for the expansion.
I would like to suggest some kind of incinerator/vent/flare stack to be added to vanilla. I have found that in Vanilla Factorio, it is rather difficult to get rid of unwanted byproducts, such as fluids, when you do not have storage capacity for them ... If you wait over night, could it be you're wa...

Re: Suggestions for the expansion.
Man there were literally 10 years worth of updates. Literally in a literal sense, it has been 10 years of content for 30 dollars. I think I paid a bit more, but whatever. The idea that dlc and the contents will be paid was also mentioned more than a year ago. On which basis is it now a reasonable d...

Re: Suggestions for the expansion.
Thereβs plenty of recycling mods already for 1.1, just use one of those? I already do, it'll just be nice to have a vanilla recycling machine. It's a big component as to why I say I'm not begging, though some ABSOLUTE IDIOTS don't care and won't take a hint. I swear some of those people are autisti...

Re: Suggestions for the expansion.
I want to recycle those burner miners and inserters so that their components can be reused. Waste not, want not. I can't give exacts but the current recycler recipe cost would mean if that was your only goal you're better off just putting them in a chest and shooting them. Crafting the recycler wil...

Re: Suggestions for the expansion.
And the whole point of this is to get the elevated rails and the recycler without buying the expansion. Ok, so this was just a begging post. Glad you admitted it. Wrong. I just want the quality-of-life stuff that upgrades existing mechanics, such as elevated railroad tracks, and the recycler that a...

Re: Suggestions for the expansion.
Recycler is only needed in vanilla to reroll quality. 99% of "obsolete" buildings upgrade into something useful later or have continuing use. Only real things that clog you up are: Burner miners, and you'll have <50 of those. Obsolete armours. If it really bothers you, put them in a chest...

Re: Another suggestion for the expansion.
I have found that in Vanilla Factorio, it is rather difficult to get rid of unwanted byproducts, such as fluids, I have never had an issue with unwanted fluid byproducts in vanilla. The only things where this is even possible is oil, and bases use so much petroleum that the others never jam. for ex...

Re: Flare Stack (Vanilla)
I think once you get into advanced oil processing, it's intended that there's a bit of complexity associated with it. There are several ways to deal with too much of something: Too much heavy oil or not enough light oil -> Crack heavy oil to light oil Too much light oil or not enough petroleum -> C...

Suggestions for the expansion.
Continuing on from the comments of the most recent FFF post ( https://factorio.com/blog/post/fff-378 Elevated railroad tracks) regarding the elevated rail lines, and adding in one thing from the Quality post, I would like to suggest that both the elevated railroad tracks and the Recycler be moved to...

Re: Friday Facts #378 - Trains on another level
1. Fair point, but it disregards my point Yes, it does disregard your point because your point boils down to "but they did it" and mine is "just because they did doesn't mean everyone can or that it's appropriate for everyone". That aside, it is the dev's prerogative on how they...

Re: Friday Facts #378 - Trains on another level
Slight exaggeration on my part. Point is, you don't have to be an Einstein to play Factorio or its' more complicated mods. No but seeing you complaining about needing to let the computer run overnight to stockpile science and alleviate the waiting "idle game" makes me think you are most l...

Re: Friday Facts #378 - Trains on another level
A two-year-old could play it to completion, and never be frustrated. Even with the mods I have installed like Space Exploration, which don't really make it more difficult, just more of a slog. You live around some pretty impressive two year olds. π Slight exaggeration on my part. Apologies. Point i...

Re: Friday Facts #378 - Trains on another level
I disagree. I play other games like this, especially Satisfactory, and there really isn't any puzzle to it, nor any challenge in any game like it. The biggest challenge is keeping your eyes open and finding ways to pass the time while your factory stockpiles research materials and components, agoni...

3. This game is not a puzzle game, despite what the developers say, and never was. As mmmPI said, "puzzle" is just something the developers tagged the game with because "automation" didn't attract people's eyes. It has no puzzle elements and never did. I never said that, the gam...

Re: Friday Facts #378 - Trains on another level
Sorry for contributing to the off-topic troll spam here Let me stop you right there. 1. I'm not trolling at all. I'm going to be purchasing the DLC myself, so it's not off-topic, not trolling, and not spam. 2. I'm not suggesting this expansion should be 100% free. I'm simply saying that SOME of it ...

2. I can in fact do these things in my sleep, most of them anyway. Some of them like the Kovarex process are as simple as adding a sorter, while others such as spaghetti and signalling are either a non-issue (there's an entire planet to build on, and spaghetti is delicious) or simply a matter of me...
