Re: Factorio screenshot submissions
Often, Factorio screenshots are made with the camera zoomed out a lot, so I've also made one with the cam closer to the player for greater variety. Also got some parts of my first factory, don't know if you still need more like that :) screenshot1.jpg screenshot2.jpg screenshot3.jpg screenshot4.jpg

Re: Version 0.12.3
To use Offline Mode, you must have been online at least once on that machine. Support site also says you should run any game you'd like to play at least once when still online, but I believe this is only to make sure there's nothing else that has to be done for it to run properly (first-time setup e...

Re: Friday Facts #96 - The fixing phase
So, you want the game to just hang for a few seconds as it autosaves? In that case, you're out of luck β we definitely want to tell the user that the game is doing something instead of just hanging for a bit. Yes, I do. You don't forget about unexperienced users, which is good and important. But ma...

Re: Friday Facts #96 - The fixing phase
When you're dealing with GUI tweaks, will you also (at least optionally) remove the autosave progress bar? Or am I the only one who's still bugged by this every time?
As always, looking forward to what's up next. You're still doing great work!

What happened to this thread? Just writing the numbers is 323% more lame than coming up with stupid facts etc. about it.

Re: Friday Facts #88 - Combinators
Although I might be alone with this, I have a few small concerns about the look of the combinators. Those huge mathematical symbols on top of them seem a bit odd to me. You wouldn't put them on a real machine I guess. Of course it's good to have an overview over what you're constructing, but aesthet...

Re: Friday Facts #88 - Combinators
Any chance of getting a set of dummy items we can use for signals? I think it would be cleaner than using actual items. +1 This implementation probably works good, but also seems a bit cheap as to just "reclycling" usual items. I imagine it could easily get unnecessarily complicated whete...

Re: So I wanted this game on steam so bad... Now I feel sick.
I don't think paid mods are bad in general. But of course the way they did it, it had a lot of problems (that mostly could have been solved somehow). This entire issue has been largely discussed already, there's probably barely need to repeat it all and go on about it if you ask me. But as most peop...

Re: Paysafecard removed[added again]
By the way, it IS possible to combine up to three paysafecards without having an account, I did that too when I bought it in June 2014. From Germany. It's very sad you can't buy it without an account anymore after they had to remove it temporarily. Would be nice if a dev could ask Gopay once again, ...

Re: Game stops for autosave - thoughts?
It really is pretty annoying. Music fades off and in unexpectedly, screen flashes and a tiny window appears which one can't even read as the save process is pretty fast for me. Sure, it's great to have this if saving takes longer. But at least for small factories, no system that is less than a few y...

Re: About buying this game
I'm pretty sure you can also use in-home streaming if it is a non-steam game. Also that way it wouldn't count your play time but you'd have it show up in your library, too! ;) Only reason to get it on steam might be trading cards (for those who don't think they're nonsense, like me) and achievments....

Re: Do you sometimes get annoyed at train stop names?
Personally, I have no problems at all with those station names and I usually keep them. But maybe I've just only gotten the ok ones. Anyway, I didn't ever care too much about that. Of course, although I spent hours on rail tracks, I'm sure there are way more complex systems in which changing names w...

Have you tried checking if Windows (if you use that) stored a previous version? (right click the save file, properties, there's a tab for that)
I once got an older version of a minecraft save back that way, but I kinda doubt it'll work here. Still worth a try

Re: A problem with steam.
If the game gets on Steam, that's probably going to be completely optional. If things work out as planned by the devs, you will have a choice whether or not you want a Steam key instead of your account on the website, so there's no need to worry about that I guess. The game might also quite likely g...
