Very nice stuff. It's a pity it wasn't made using a decent framework.

Re: clear player logistic slot amount on right click
I use this behaviour to request some things through the logistics system that usually aren't in the request list. For example when returning to my base from a remote build, I request 50 lamps, wait for the delivery, request 50 electric poles just by selecting the new item, wait for the delivery, req...

Re: Tips & Tricks
Most people don't realize that you can blueprint ghost buildings. What good does this do, you ask? Well, for example, if you make a blueprint that ends up including stuff you don't want, just plop the blueprint outside your network, clear the unwanted ghost buildings and remake the blueprint right t...

Re: Inserter Amount for "lowtech"
You need moar inserters. If surrounding the assembler with inserters is not enough, put chests between the inserters and the assemblers. With all the stack bonus, your inserters will move 5 items from each chest every time they work. When the final assembler is not producing, keep filling the chests...

Re: First Factory (warning: contains pictures)
Hello again everyone! I'm sorry to say that today's update will be the last for this factory in a while. The game is now running at 25-30fps which is kind of bad and slows me down a lot. I guess I'll have to start my second factorio game. With that out of the way, a lot of changes happened in the fa...

Re: FPS dropping with time
Thanks for taking the time to look at it. I guess I'll be waiting for 0.11 with anxious anticipation.
If you ever need an updated save for the optimization, I've managed to reduce 5 FPS more in that save since then.

You can set filters on the slots of the wagon by middle-clicking, just like on your hotbar. You can reserve space for specific stuff that way.

Re: Overproduction of sulfur
At my current state i got 1,7million iron and chopper. Hadly see a way to get rid of that ever. Just send them over. My factory burns through 2k-3k iron/copper plates per minute making sweet capsules, modules and everything between. With all research done. The inserters that feed the ore to belts s...

Re: Laser turret cooldown to encourage defenses to be mixed
I don't know what you guys are talking about. My gun turrets can dispatch biters so much faster than the laser turrets and with more style to boot. The only "downsides" are that you have to supply them and that they let the biters come a little closer to your walls. If you use the logistic...

Re: Separate pipes, hydraulic press, gates...
If you are driving the train manually, you can steer it using the direction keys ('a' and 'd').
If the train is going automatically, it should choose the correct way by itself.

Re: More trains vs. longer trains
I'm changing my train system to use big trains to bring ores from remote outposts to a central station near my base and then smaller trains to bring the stuff from there to processing in the base. This is the way I found to upgrade the capacity of my rail system, without changing the existing statio...

Re: FPS dropping with time
Thanks for moving the post. With Rseding91 info in hand I set to try removing different items from the game, other than the transport belts. After a lot of loading and reloading save games, the items that made some change in the FPS were the following: (the numbers are FPS immediately after the comm...
