Re: Foreman 0.1.9 - A factory optimisation tool.

How do we get something like this to work properly? If I set the output to fixed, then the refinery will overproduce and the cracking will try to produce exactly the same. Any set up using oil cracking messes up all the calculations, and they usually appear when auto completing too. They don't try ...

Re: Foreman 0.1.9 - A factory optimisation tool.

Is there any setting that can remove all the excess output nodes? Not at the moment. You can just delete them all yourself though. 1. Config setting to invert with input from the top and output to the bottom. Just as a "nice to have" I agree it would be nice, but it might be a disproporti...

Re: Foreman 0.1.9 - A factory optimisation tool.

What's the specific setup you're using? Ok, this is wierd then ... http://i.imgur.com/rA1CRcH.png Ill try to redownload. EDIT1: Well, I redownloaded it and still same thing ... Also when i set rate to Auto it says 0 on everything ... seems problem on my end, which i dont know how to fix. Wait... wh...

Re: Foreman 0.1.9 - A factory optimisation tool.

One thing that would be nice is being able to box select multiple nodes and move / delete them, and an option to move all child nodes when you move a parent node. http://i.imgur.com/fxQMnKH.png Hmm... both good ideas. I suppose since dragging the background already moves the whole view around I'd h...

Re: Foreman 0.1.9 - A factory optimisation tool.

New Version! Download here The big change in this version is that you have more control over what's happening in the flowchart. You can click on any node and set it to run at a fixed rate, and any nodes set to 'auto' will run as fast as they can, given these limitations. This should in theory give ...

Re: Foreman - A factory optimisation tool. Version 0.1.8 is up!

Ok, why is this happening? Does that just happen whenever you start it up? Fresh crash report. Good news! I'm pretty sure I fixed that one a few days ago, but haven't uploaded it yet because I'm partway through a bit of an overhaul of some of the graph code. #3: I think there is a rounding issue so...

Re: Foreman - A factory optimisation tool. Version 0.1.8 is up!

How do I switch from basic oil processing to advanced? Also can i somehow incorporate cracking into nodes like "basic oil processing to plastic"?. I dont think ill need 2 rafineries for 1 plastic plant if I crack light oil. Delete the basic oil node and drag an advanced one onto the flowc...

Re: Foreman - A factory optimisation tool. Version 0.1.8 is up!

.... This... is harder. I've worked out what the problem is. Individual DyTech mods have config.lua files which enable and disable specific parts of the mod. However, since each config file has the same module name (as far as Lua is concerned), the interpreter only reads the first one and then assu...

Re: Foreman - A factory optimisation tool. Version 0.1.8 is up!

Fresh bug report for you :) well two actually. 1. When loading the Floors mod I get a crash. Fixed. That one was easy. Floors marks its floor items as 'resources' which foreman took to mean that they could be mined by miners, causing it to crash while looking for mining hardness/item yield/etc. val...

Re: Foreman - A factory optimisation tool. Now 11.X compatible!

You're my hero (twice) :) Aww :) However, I'm afraid I came across a bug. Aww :( Problems with oil refining recipes (and any modded items that have more than one recipe) have been plaguing this program since it began... I'll add in a menu to enable and disable specific recipes, but in the mean time...

Re: Foreman - A factory optimisation tool. Now 11.X compatible!

New Version! https://bitbucket.org/Nicksaurus/foreman/downloads The most notable improvement is that you can now save and load your flowcharts as JSON files. Now you won't have to remake them every time you start playing again. Also, you can enable and disable specific mods, just like in the game. ...

Re: Foreman - A factory optimisation tool. Now 11.X compatible!

I'm confused. I have DyTech enabled, which makes the recipe for Red Science pack a stone gear and copper plate. However, Foreman still says that Red Science is an iron gear. Does Foreman not actually read the recipe definitions? What does "supports mods" means? It means it tries to read t...

Re: Foreman - A factory optimisation tool. Now 11.X compatible!

Further experimentation shows that you can add 3 output nodes and manually adjust the amount of gas they would receive: http://i.gyazo.com/d977c3d407de0f22d40ada912e469eab.png That gives 1061 gas / minute. Although i'm not sure why all the outputs on the refinery are blue. Normally one of them is s...

I'm using Foreman the first time so don't go crazy if this where asked many times but I have a exe version of factorio installed and 3 zips and I want that Foreman loads on of the zip factorios but I can't find a option for that and it didn't asked me anything at the first start. What's the difference between data.lua and data-updates.lua?

Some mods (and the base game data) have an extra file called data-updates.lua. What's it for? Does it get read after all the other mods' data.lua files have been loaded or something? Also, are there any other file names that the game looks for besides those two? Edit: Actually, I just found informat...
