What does the biter richness setting even do? Size and frequency makes sense but its not like they keep a pot of gold in their nests and say "Oh no not me lucky charms!" when you steal from them. I'm guessing it has to do with spawning medium and and big biters and worms but I thought that...

Wow all those are really cool, and I especially love that transport belt network. I haven't been playing long enough to need such massive throughput so it would be amazing to see a video of that thing being fully utilized :)

I agree that guns and lasers need to be rebalanced. I think the main problem is with big biters; since they have so much armor basically anything other than lasers and fully upgraded combat shotguns are completely useless. Even rocket launchers are pretty terrible against them. I think what needs to...

I I think the reason that is how it is because that's basically how it is in Minecraft. It would be helpful if mousing over a roboport would tell you the total number of robots (and roboports for that matter) in the system. This is really cool. However I think for a tech tree like Factorio's a web would work much much better, as it would both look nicer and be easier to see what requires what and how far out you are from something else. This game, simply put, is amazing. I am in no way joking or exaggerating when I say that this is the game I have been searching for all my life. And the fact that it works so well when it isn't even finished makes it all the more better.
