Re: Friday Facts #90 - Trying to be on schedule

I would be very happy to recieve an email before you start on greenlight if that is possible.
I want to vote asap so this game is the fastest game ever to get greenlit on Steam.

I hope the algae farm mentioned in a thread does become a thing. It was a real nice industrial solution to clean the air.

Re: Completly customizable GUI (with examples)

I would agree with this, my screen is a fair bit small (right now I'm using two monitors) but here are some screenshots from my computer. 2015-05-14-133735_2390x768_scrot.png 2015-05-14-133829_2390x768_scrot.png You can not yet drag around GUI elements, but there is a scale option in the menu now :)

Re: Friday Facts #84 The wedding day preprations

What will happen to our copy if Factorio is released on Steam? Do we have to choose if we want the Steam version or stay "off Steam". (Like it was with Planetary Annihilation) Will it become Steam only? (Like it was with 7 days to die) Do we keep both? (Don't have an exapmle for that) Will...

Re: The Lane swapper ☸

I dunno, if it is worth the effort. I honestly don't care :P It is my spare time I am wasting :D Don't wonder why I haven't uploaded the new animation already, I am completly reworking the concept since the "old" swapper was too big (the turning part would have interfered with the belt ne...

Ah. So the device should reveal it's internal function. Sorry ssilk, you got me wrong on this one :( With "eyecandy" I meant that it is not jsut a belt with a different color where the items magically switch site - I meant that it has the box on top where you can see something moving. I w...

Re: The Lane swapper ☸

This is mod with lane switchers https://forums.factorio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4743 It'a old mod and I don't know if it still working but you can check it. It is really nice to see how great the Factorio community is - but again I have to disappoint you - this is not what I am searching...

I did not - but I ticked the box "automatically enable new mods" and it worked :) Thank you for the help :)

"Player prototype required but missing"

Everytime I try to load a save I get the message "Player prototype required but missing".

I can't load any save, even though I could play with the version before (0.11.20).

I tried updating to 0.11.21 but it didn't help.

Even reinstalling the game didn't work.

I would like to have it in the vanilla version instead of beeing a mod.

but if someone could make this single item as a mod I would be very happy, since I don't know how to mod it.

Re: The Lane swapper

You should probably put that as a link instead of an image, I loaded a bunch of pages and left to do something, to come back to a chunk of my extremely limited monthly data allowance gone. I am very sorry for that - it was not my intention - I will decrease the resolution and the amount of frames -...

Thank you a thousand times Kovarex.
Now finally 4K gameplay videos on YouTube are possible and people still can see the UI properly when watching it "windowed".
Also I can now rescale it for ordinary 1080p videos to my preferences. :)

One question - will the Steam sales add to the counter on the website? Because I would be very interested in how Steam affects the sales.

Deconstruction bug while in the "Alt-view"

I often leave the "Alt-view" on which shows you which building is producing what, in which direction the inserters are faceing and which tank contains which liquid. When this view is on and you use a deconstruction blueprint on an area where "big" 3x3 buildings or tanks are build...

When can we test out the high res textures you wrote about in the "Friday Facts #64" post?

Also I am curious when you are going to rework the GUI.

Re: Friday Facts #70 The smooth fps

It is great that you are working on smooth fps - but I find it more urgent that you work on the GUI. At the moment it is hard to play in low resolutions (things glitch out of screen) or to play in very high resolutions (things are too small). The only thing that holds me back from making a Let's Pla...
