Re: [0.17.39] Mods with icon beside their name not sorted correctly

I'm not going to implement some multiple hundreds of lines of code to handle sorting things like this. If mods put rich text bull shit in their mod names then they can deal with the fallout. Or I can disable it for mod names to be sure people don't do it. What about some middle-ground: Strip the ri...

Re: Version 0.17.39

Because copying train stop settings copies also name and options, which is not always favourable. If you want to copy colors only: copy Train -> Station, or Station -> Train. IIRC this copies color only. That said, I'd still love some saved/favorite color section so I don't have to write down each ...

Re: [0.17.39] Stack Inserters to Filter Cargo Wagon Freezes

Above is right, not a bug. Here's a NaB thread with posts from kovarex: https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=7567, there are other in there and probably some more in Duplicates if you search for them. If you do a general search across the whole forum you'll find others whom have run ...

Changed the mods GUI so it lists mod settings by mod alphabetically using natural ordering.
Thanks. This makes it much easier to find settings, esp. when I don't know the name of what I'm looking for.

Re: [0.17.34] Nuclear fuel cells not inserted in train.

> Nuclear fuel cells You're mixing two things so I'm not sure which you're using: "Nuclear fuel" OR "Uranium fuel cell" The fuel CELL cannot be inserted into a train, that's for reactors only. If that's what's in the chest this isn't a bug. If you're trying with actual nuclear fu...

I know lefties whom swear by it. For them, left hand is on mouse and so having a copy/cut/paste on the right side of the keyboard is a must.

Re: [Dominik][0.17.31] Power poles building still bugged :(

It, indeed, is still broken. My rather complicated fix disappeared, there is no trace of it. So I guess I will have to write it again. Git? Even if the branch with the fix is gone, you can always copy the code out of the pull request. (With GitHub you can always restore the branch the PR was made f...

Re: Friday Facts #290 - Rail building changes & High-res icons

If the keybinding was changable; if ghost rail building could be done with Alt instead of Shift: - You could still use Shift+R to counter-clockwise rotation. - You could path around trees by not holding Shift. The problem with having everything on Shift is it does too many mutually exclusive things,...

Re: [0.17.31] Copying Train Station - trains go there before you have chance to change name

Don't connect it to your network when you paste. Remove one rail upstream so there's no path to the station. Or paste the station away from any rails, change as needed, then cut'n'paste to its intended destination.

Re: Friday Facts #290 - Rail building changes & High-res icons

The change to rails, while nice, annoys me a bit.. I like to force a direction for the rails to face before placing them by using the rotate function.. however with this change, being forced to hold down shift allows me to rotate only in one direction (counter-clockwise), as is normal holding shift...

Re: [0.17.28] Residual pollution issues with sign, trees showing as polluting

Question, what is there an exact meaning for the number right by the icon for each entity type? For the production/kill/build stats, it's pretty clear that it is the floored amount of items produced/consumed/killed/etc. But for the pollution screen, it is not clear. The number on the icon on the po...

Re: [0.17.7] Pumps substantially slower than 0.16.x, but no changelog entry -- intentional or bug?

As a baseline comparison, moving barrelled fluid on a full blue belt is 2250/s (45*50). Making pumps 3k seems reasonably close with a nice advantage (750) over belts.

Re: Expansion was Disabled at start, now Enabled even on older saves [0.17.26]

If you want to keep achievements, you can use the https://mods.factorio.com/mod/ChangeMapSettings mod to set the biter parameters. Huh. I thought using mods would turn off achievements? If that's not the case, then sure! And thank you! Modded games track achievements separately from vanilla achieve...

There's multiple reports like this in the 'Won't Fix' section. Here's one: https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=66863 It sounds like you imported a 0.16.x save and the items on the belt no longer exist to which I offer this quote: ...This is a known "quirk" of belts: if you...
