Re: Version 0.12.29
I have a question. Are the item icons done, or will they be updated as well? When I resize the UI using the slider, the icons distort weirdly (especially their edges), as if they were never designed to have their size altered in the first place. With my old monitor this wasn't an issue, as the UI is...

Re: Version 0.12.27
Wow, almost a year for a release, that is quite a lot! The truth is, that every release tends to be bigger than the previous one. Yeah, well, as someone who only plays singleplayer it has been meager time for even longer than that :) But like I said, you guys do what you have to do. I'll wait patie...

I'm sure Totalbiscuit will be doing a review of this game once it comes out of early access.
Besides, just being on the top-sellers list on steam is excellent advertising on its own.

Man, 27? That's a pretty high number.
The highest Factorio sub-version ever, I believe.
So... any indication on how far away 0.13 is? Weeks? Months?

I want this implemented so bad!
Ever since the first time I saw the in-game laser tower fire I've always thought "Man, it'd be so much better if it was a beam!"
PLEASE MAKE IT SO!

Re: Friday Facts #129 - The late game
I was actually never bothered by the capacity of the train wagons. Even in the very late game, their capacity was more than enough for a resource train with 3 wagons hauling ore from a mining base. Sure, higher capacity would mean shorter trains and thus easier to build train stations but look at it...

Re: Anyone else think this game needs some Zombie's?
Zombies are the perfect enemy. They're even better than Nazis in that respect. The have nothing to justify their actions, no personality to pity, cannot be reasoned with, and have no good reason for allowing to exist. You also can't get frowned upon for killing one, because they're technically alrea...

Re: Opinion on Fuel cubes?
One more think you may like to for a new map is to NOT have solar farms(NO Solar Panel) this will add some think new to this game as macking Electricity use fuel so fuel cubes/block are best for that, as coal is a most have for Plastic Bars. next Steel Furnace or Electric Furnace? Steel Furnace use...

Re: Breakable Solar Modules
In the current game you CAN use coal/steam in the lategame, but it does not make sense, because the weight of disadvantages(pollution, logistic, finite coal) is MUCH higher, than the advantage (saving an irrelevant amount of iron/copper) and therein lies the issue... If solars were "nerfed&quo...

Re: Breakable Solar Modules
There is a thread in this forum by another player who proposed weather depending on pollution(which makes solar panels fluctuate in power generation), but I think this is not a good solution to combat the problem I mentioned, because solar power would still be best option. You'd actually get some k...

Re: Underground belt and pipes improvement
The way it behaves right now is very much wanted, because it increases clutter and therefore the puzzle-aspect of the game. Exactly. The puzzle is an important part of the factory design aspect. If you want to avoid clutter you can always use the more flexible Logistics bots. As for the pipes, ther...

Re: Weather & Pollution's Effects on it
Bumping this for attention.
I feel the next logical step to flesh out the world would be to add a weather system into the game. The more I read about introducing various disadvantages for solars, the more sense this idea makes.

Re: Breakable Solar Modules
I'm still more of the opinion that Solars should have a downside in weather effects and pollution in the atmosphere, rather than just breaking after a while. There's no precedent for machine failure in Factorio, so I feel it wouldn't fit the game well to have this mechanic with just one building typ...

They're made out of the desire to streamline playing factorio, without bogging the player down with excess complexity too early.
(or something along those lines, I forget what the devs said about it exactly)
