Re: Improved Steam Engine Setup

I think the 3 small pumps can only power 15 steam engines at 100% capacity (29 @ ~50%), because a small pump has only half the water throughput of an offshore pump. * One offshore pump provides 60 water per second. * One small pump provides pressure for 30 water per second. * One steam engine needs ...

Re: Improved Steam Engine Setup

Nice setup ;)

I'm not 100% sure but i think the automated emergency water supply can only power 15 steam engines total, as one pump should limit the fluid throughput from 60 to 30/second. So you may have to add a second parallel pump to each one in the setup.

Re: Maximum express belt steel furnace throughput

Normal and express belt speed only roughly tested. Have confirmed though that 36 total smelting speed seems to be about the exact number needed for fast belts, which I now use in my 18 electric furnace design that has 2 speed modules each and beacons for pollution reducing. Which is equivalent to 3...

Re: Maximum express belt steel furnace throughput

52.4 unupgraded furnaces are needed to fill an express belt, but for symmetry you need 54 No, in therory you need 52,4 to bring the final belt to full compression, but 53 steel furnaces or 52 + 2 stone furnaces are not enough to guarantee 100% compression, there will be gaps in the final belt from ...

Maximum express belt steel furnace throughput

Image

This setup of 54 steel or electric furnaces can achieve maximum express belt compression, with an iron or copper throughput of 14234 items in 8 minutes ( 1779 item per minute ).

Fast belts have lower density, than other belts

Tested with 0.10.12 and 0.11.3. A line of 100 normal or express belts at maximum compression contain 712 items, while fast belts only contain 642 items. This could explain the Transport belts/Physics results. Awaited throughput items/min would be 1444,5, so measured results are only 82% off. http://...
