Is there a version of this that only works with belts? It connecting to any inventory completely eliminates the need for inserters. I just want to use it as a buffer inline with the belt.

The paths are beautiful! I really hope that's the final art. I like the idea of different paths being different speeds. It seems to bring other ideas into conflict though. I edited it and fixed it, but the slipstream chests do not output anything.
