Re: [MOD 0.12] Color Coding - Trains, Lights, and Concrete!
This is a bug in vanilla Factorio and will be fixed on next release. Thanks for this. I was about to be very, very confused... I'd really like to see a smaller version of this mod, with only the small coloured Lamps and nothing else... This isn't the first time this has been requested. I plan on ad...

Re: [MOD 0.12] Color Coding - Trains, Lights, and Concrete!
The plan is to use it for instructions and recipes in the world I'd advise against this. The concrete tiles are going to be a pain to work with to do any large scale textures, especially ones that need to have coherent text on them. Ground tiles like concrete are automatically tiled by the game in ...

Re: [MOD 0.12] Color Coding - Trains, Lights, and Concrete!
May I disassemble and add some custom textures for my educational content? You should grab the latest update; I've added some comments and options in config.lua that may be useful for your purposes. If textured concretes are all you're after, you can now disable trains and lamps, then add your text...

Absolutely. MIT license is great for stuff like that!abregado wrote:May I disassemble and add some custom textures for my educational content?
I will integrate this into the next version, thanks!Lishget wrote:I have made a german translation for this mod:

Re: [MOD 0.12] Color Coding - Trains, Lights, and Concrete!
Is there a way to contribute ( github or bitbucket ? I made some local changes and added a config option to disable trains if they are not needed or to save some video RAM. I'm glad you're enjoying the mod :D I haven't bothered to familiarize myself with github yet as I only have a couple of mods, ...

Re: [MOD 0.12] Color Coding - Trains, Lights, and Concrete!
I'm using 1.0.2 (yes, I'm a lazy updater), and I was able to build colored trains without researching the Colored Trains technology. Not really a big deal, but kinda wonky. Aw crap. I've left a debug option on this entire time. *facepalm* I wrote a migration script that should fix it when you updat...

Re: [MOD 0.12] Color Coding - Trains, Lights, and Concrete!
Hmm. Looks like the blending's too additive even with 0.1 transparency. TIL. I'll make some adjustments and try to improve this while still providing enough color to be distinct. I'll also add grids of lamps to my test world. EDIT: It's fixed in 1.0.4, as well as a handful of other small lamp-relate...

Re: [MOD 0.12] Color Coding - Trains, Lights, and Concrete!
I like Hitzu's bright-color interpretation. It does stand out quite a bit better in game than what I originally had in mind. It definitely makes sense for hazard markings to be a bit more saturated. However there is one minor issue: http://i.imgur.com/OFkIcas.png See how the textures don't "mes...

Re: [MOD 0.12] Color Coding - Trains, Lights, and Concrete!
Green locomotive 03.png bottom 2 rows are... not green. Dangit. This is a bug with Pinta. sometimes CTRL+A doesn't select the whole image properly and you have to press it again. I thought I had caught all these. It will be fixed in 1.0.3. I created files in gimp (.xcf) with concrete colors and lay...

Re: [MOD 0.12] Color Coding - Trains, Lights, and Concrete!
This is definitely doable, but is going to require photo editing work with an attention to detail that is a little beyond my capabilities. If someone with better photoshop skills than me can grab concrete1.png, concrete2.png, and concrete4.png out of the yellow and black folders in the mod, and stit...

Re: [MOD 0.12] Color Coding - Trains, Lights, and Concrete!
That would be awesome, unfortunately i don't think it's possible with the current modding API. Most of the logistics stuff is hard coded into the base game. Of course, you could make colored concrete floors bigger than 50x50, and just always leave green space around the edges to achieve a similar ef...

Re: [MOD 0.12] Color Coding - Trains, Lights, and Concrete!
I agree -- people wanted a complete set so I added it anyway (nobody has to craft them after all). I'm still playing with the graphics for it. Black and its weird darkening effect is interesting, but not really useful. I'm working on an updated sprite that mimics a "UV black light" appeara...

Re: [MOD 0.12] Color Coding - Trains, Lights, and Concrete!
You are awesome, thank you so much! I don't have photoshop; I've been mostly using a combination of GIMP and Pinta, and i'm no expert with either of them. This is all going into the 1.0.2 update when 0.12.2 comes out. They look great in-game! I've added a credit to you on the original post, as well ...

Re: [MOD 0.12] Color Coding - Trains, Lights, and Concrete!
Wow, awesome. Just play-tested the white train and it looks great. I'm not the best at photo editing, clearly :) I will include this in the next version. Would you mind detailing your method, or applying the same effect to the diesel locomotive icon? I'll need a white stripe version of it for the in...

Re: [MOD 0.12] Color Coding - Trains, Lights, and Concrete!
The shadows around concrete and lamps have been fixed for the next version, and the sprites for the lamps have been dramatically improved. However, I am withholding release until 0.12.2 due to save corruption issues with 0.12.1 when upgrading mods. Expect a more polished release shortly after 0.12.2...

Re: [MOD 0.12] Color Coding - Trains, Lights, and Concrete!
Is it possible to change the gray/black one to actually have a dark/black ring around the top? It's sort of an all gray colorless thing and I'd rather have a 'coal' colored ring. The way I made these is by hue-shifting the existing sprite-sheet with a photo editor. The unmarked train is what you ge...

Re: [MOD 0.12] Color Coding
1.0.1 Update: * Mod has been renamed to "Color Coding" and now supports small-radius indicator lights and concrete in addition to trains. * The crafting of colored items has all been moved to a dedicated inventory tab to keep things clean. * Reverting a color change is now as easy as picki...

Re: [MOD 0.12] RoboStats
DeamonEngineer has multiple independent logistics networks, and some bots in storage that haven't been deployed yet. This was designed to get an accurate count of all bots on the map, not just those in a given logistics network.

Re: [MOD 0.12] RoboStats
This sounds like a really neat mod, but it'd be even neater if there was a non-console way to activate it. Some kind of buildable device (cheap to build, a few Electronic Circuits, etc) that you plonk down, then whenever you activate its button, it does the count. This is meant as a utility, and it...
