Re: Choose the number of items inserted by inserter
The stack bonus right now is driving me bonkers on producing sulfuric acid. The stack bonus + speed modules = stalling because it waits till it is empty before it moves it. Thus..no matter what..I have a full inserter delay. :( Probably dropping my battery production by near 25%. Just need to add mo...

Re: Oil Power Plants, reliable way of making electricity.
This would be very nice for a "train fuel source" allow you to break a coal habit. However, how much energy would be required to make 4x T3 modules? A simple blue factory is 150kW. A miner is (-80%) = 90(1-*0.8) = 18kW A electric furnace is (-60%) = 180*(1-0.6) = 72kW To make a T3 speed mo...

Re: Stall resistant oil processing
Late game...poison is "cheap" and clears a forest really fast! A single stack is usually way more than enough to clear out a path for a railroad expansion. With armor, you can stand in the poison. Almost basically run and gun and you have a clear path. Only drawback is "Coal". If...

Re: Main Bus with Tree farm
Interesting concept...I really like it actually. The required planning isn't trivial...but the logistic network is what makes it work. I was probably approaching where you are in terms of starting recognize "common inputs" for a group of unique outputs. Cool..thanks for sharing. Also, ther...

I agree...carrying blue prints or at least allow you to "ghost" a design between games would be HUGE for me. Problem is right now is instead of focusing on getting better at end game automation i still spend a lot of time trying to remember simple things. My classic screw up the ratio of i...

Re: Belt rebalancer is not your friend
Props to you. What I have noticed is that a double splitter balancer takes up no more space but gets you close to perfect. Very low cost with massive improvement. Thanks!

A little bit of science...
Spreadsheets and tools to calculate optimal ratios are nice math. However...that doesn't really help me "understand" things. One thing that i've noticed is that certain areas tend to "block up" really nice...especially science. In short..the inputs are VERY limited. This first pa...

Resetting Map/Radar after creating a scenario
So, I ran the function to create a scenario of one of my save games. Did it so the game continues to be fun for me (e.g. I wanted to fill a small lake in because it was annoying me). However, after editing and loading up the scneario...my map/radar is still the old version. Any way to "reset&qu...
