Re: Friday Facts #260 - New fluid system
Interesting FFF! Great write up. We are still considering using different pipes for different shapes, which would allow two parallel separate pipes etc. Please do add this feature, flow control is a mod which adds these and it truly does improve fluid handling, especially in the later part of the g...

"Belt Immunity Equipment"
THANK YOU
This was the very last complain I would ever make on Factorio, when in late game your factory is covered by blue belts.
Thank you so so so much.

Re: Friday Facts #254 - No research queue for you
I actualy disagree with this. I think that the higher the granularity the better. It allows someone to get only what they really need at one point in time or another. Honestly, I would not be against MORE granularity in most cases. The only exception possibly being modules. You dont really get too ...

Re: Friday Facts #252 - Sound design & Map editor
Sound: I think it's missing a super low frequency sound, like around 80Hz. Earth should shake ! I play with great headphones, and good sound system, don't forget the basses ! Get inspired by the Dreadnought sound from Red Alert 3 if I'm not mistaken, but not sure because I played only once, years an...

My question may sounds over stupid but I'm not into computer:
What would be the best PC Build for Factorio (what do you recommend)? Just aim to the most expensive CPU and GPU ?
To that, I would say, that if they managed to do a game that is better then Factorio on every level, than they deserve it.
This is exactly why since the beginning of times master is taken over by his student. That's the way it goes, and that's how a master finish his life. But...

Re: True end of Factorio
How should standard game end? 1, crash (default) 2, terraformation 3, annihilation 4, Star gate 5, colonization of planets 5, rebuilding of society All of those can be a mod. 1: is actually Space X mod. No need to the devs to think about that. 5: run several servers, like does Clustorio ect Factori...

I don't care if things break as long as it's making the game better.

My opinion: Do whatever you want, I don't want to use logistic bots, therefore they can exists, I simply ignore them. To be honest I also ignore solar, laser turret, and half of the military features (rocket launcher and unused armor goodies) actually, since 400 hours of gameplay so far. Whatev, I'm...

Re: 0.16 Map generation Feedback
I am starting a brand new Death World Marathon in total vanilla no custom, to see if it's doable, because even just changing map settings, not ores gen, is adding "custom" to the game type. Pure vanilla, I rolled up map gen until I get what look like 1.5M Iron and 1M Copper near my spawn. ...

Re: Why defending is a dilemma and enemies need polish
I am 80 hours into a Death World map without laser, I wall in my huge factory and set up tons of outposts around for ressources, with a complicated system of train to supply in ammo and repair pack. It was lot of fun until aliens started destroying and random electric poles. That's terribly frustrat...
