When Do You Upgrade Belts?
So just curious - when is a good time to upgrade your transport belts from yellow to red or blue? I'm watching MangledPork's Railworld series and noticed he hasn't upgraded them yet even into his 8th hour with a BUNCH of production going. What would be a reason for not upgrading them as soon as you ...

Re: is there a way to turn off monsters attacking you
So starting the game with peaceful mode ON and then turning it OFF after a while, you do or do not need to kill the current monsters? Up to you. You can wait until you kill the biters naturally(where biters not in peace mode will spawn) or kill them with the command. Yeah I just want to kill the pe...

Re: Logistic Networks!
I'm still new so it may be hard and I doubt we'll get there in the amount of time we have this week but it's good info to know. Maybe we will though. We'll just have to see!
But what's the difference between the active and passive?

Ah okay that makes sense lol. Are the bots tough to build a lot of?psorek wrote:Bots can reach anywhere though only small quantities. And you've got tons of bots. Thousand of them isn't anything weird. Trains are better when moving big quantities of goods over bigger distances.

Re: Logistic Networks!
1. There are provider (passive and active), requester and storage chests. In requester chests you can request items, that are stored in provider or storage chests, and logistic robots bring them to the requester chest. Provider chests "provide" the containing items to the logistic network...

Logistic Networks!
Hey everyone. My friend and I are going to start a new game together and we think we want to first get a logistics network going. But I have a few questions: 1. How does the logistic network work? How do you set it up? 2. Is the purpose to serve as a sort of...aerial railroad? 3. What types of thing...

Re: Need Help With My Game
Do you all just build for neat and pretty or do you just build it to work? Just to answer to that question : If it works, but is ugly, you can always make it pretty later on, further away. If it's pretty, aesthetically perfect, but totally disfunctional, you'll never get the chance to build somethi...

Re: Need Help With My Game
Hey, thank you guys for the help! I actually started over using what I learned from looking at pictures and watching videos. And I'm currently watching MangledPork's Season 2: Railworld series which is helping a lot too. But I have a question about assembly lines. How much do you prefer form over fu...

Okay, so it's a little messy, but here's what I have now after figuring all this out. I still don't understand the two sides to the belt thing though.

Re: Need Help With My Game
Build a pair of mining drills, a stack or two of transport belts, and a few yellow inserters. Place your mining drills on a coal patch, under their exits, place transport belts, and make a transport belt path towards your boiler. Place an inserter to take coal from the belt, and insert it in the bo...

Re: Need Help With My Game
You should let your arms attached to your shoulders, they work better that way  Second : you should not take things from boilers : the sole function of boilers is to ... boil water. They take water from one side, heat it, and spit it hotter to the other side, up to 100Β°C. To do that, they use ...

If you are running search on your start menu for "snipping tool" fairly straight forward to use. You can select the part of the window you want to capture. Not exactly sure what you are looking for. A full screen capture or just factorio or a part of the factorio screen, you have to be a ...

So ... first of all, you have iron plates. With some of them, you can build iron gears. You have copper plates. With some of them, you can build copper cables, and with cables and iron plates, you can make green circuits. With a few iron gears, iron plates, and circuits, you can build your first as...
