Inserters number 5 and 6 from the left won't load the train. Turning them with R gets them working again, as does removing/replacing them or just putting another type of inserter down on top. When the train leaves the station they break again (even just moving half a square will do it).

I thought it might have something to do with being over a chunk boundary, but I haven't been able to replicate it yet. None of the others break either, just those two. It's weird.

I have seen this same issue. Had two rows of 5 inserters. The center inserter for one of the rows wouldn't unload unless replaced or turned a full round. After the train moved just slightly it would break again.

Maybe it has something to do with that rail junction there?

Nah. Since posting this report I've encountered the same thing a few more times in this game, in completely different places. Can't spot any pattern at all.

It doesn't happen so often as to be game breaking, but it's still a massive pain in the butt.

Yeah, I noticed this, too. Confused me quite a bit, but it is not a deal breaker.
Definitely a valid bug, though.

Thanks for the report. The problem here is that this is happening on the junction. The inserters are optimized to "fall asleep" when nothing is happening on the rail. However here they are checking the curved rail not the straight one. It is on our internal issues list.

Hello, it is fixed for 0.10 now, verified on the save.

The inserter will not work, if the train wagon is on the bend rail in the junction though, I hope it is too strange way to use it to make it a problem.
It will still work on on the bent rail when not in junction.
