[0.10.10] cursor for placing wire is sometimes inconsistent

Steps to reproduce:
1. Load this save because pole positioning is somewhat fiddly.
2. Press the hotbar key for the copper wire and click on the upper left pole (must be this pole and not the other one).
3. Mouseover the lower right pole and notice the cursor has switched to indicate that the wire won't connect.
4. Click the lower right pole anyway and notice that the wire connects.

When the poles were placed originally they connected together automatically. The mouse cursor should always match what the wire will actually reach.

Edit: There are also times where the cursor shows the wire will reach and it doesn't.
