[0.11.9]Inserter stop working

Hy

it seems that the new inserter sleep function has some problems with transport belts going directly away from it.
The inserters in pic "factorio" stoped working even when the belt is empty. It even happens when the belt is full (red circels in pic "factorio1", blue circels is how it should look.

on pic "factorio2" you can see that if i change the direction of the belts from pic "factorio" they start working again as they should.

I've run into this issue as well, I've found this happens when the belt gets backed up and once it's clear again the inserter doesn't register it can place the item it's holding, remaining stuck holding the item until the player manually fixes it via rotating the inserter or dismantle and replacing it

Why you don't use long handed inserter?

It's part of a build spacing strategy, so that the electric furnace can be very easily placed, requiring minimal rebuilding.

same issue here.
inserter takes item from factory to a belt moving away. when the belt is full, the inserter stops working (as it should). when the belt gets free again, it doesn't resume.

I would personally just use long handed inserters like below, but that's just because I am lazy :D

sure thats one way to fix it, but in other cases when you need to put something on one belt going away you run into the problem again. It´s a bug, the great (!) developers need to know about it so they can fix it. They will, all is good :mrgreen:
