[edit]
I originally made a report for non-existent bug. Old title was "Items in assembler-like machines lost when changing recipe"
Old text is here:

First reply here told me the items aren't lost but due to there not being a message of "player received X" as we get when we mine buildings I got confused. It would be nice if we'd get that message when we receive items from changing recipes in assemblers too.

I just tested, and the items are not lost. They are moved to your inventory. You just don't get the text saying they did.

Hmm, weird that I haven't noticed it before and always thought I had just lost a ton of stuff.
When I made a test right before creating this thread I didn't notice the item I tested with goes to action bar instead of inventory so that's why I didn't notice it.

Well, good to know that the stuff doesn't get lost. I'll repurpose this thread to be about the missing text for receiving those items then so other people wouldn't be as confused as I was :)

This should be marked as fixed and moved to proper section.
