I also noted that you deleted many entries in /base/locale/en/entity-descriptions.cfg and /base/locale/de/item-descriptions.cfg is this intentional?

I checked it and didn't find any deleted entries in these files in latest commits. Could you be more specific please?

Hmm It seems to be that those entries where never there, but why were they on the German repo?
Anyway, I will add them again.

Any language can add description for entities that don't even have description in english.
If you think these descriptions were useful in the german translation, you can pull request them in english as well, that would be certainly useful.
Edit: I believe that these were taken off with the syncrhonisation of line numbers made by zeldafan, this is the reason why it might be good idea to add it to english as well, to keep the synchronisation, when it was done already.

I have a question: if the phrase has become unnecessary, is it removed from the original English version? In some English-language text files smaller than in the Russian-language translation of date

Yes, the english locale contains everything, so if it is not there it (usually) should be removed.

Are you open for further translations to other languages? I can do Hebrew for example.

I reached this part :

...Congratulations, you have finished the demo campaign! \n\nThe current alpha version of the game contains much more content than the demo. The alpha already provided many of our users ...

The game is still alpha ? because the translation guide's root (localization file structures) talkin about a dir named ALPHA what is no longer in my version(0.9.3) , instead i see a BETA dir...

That is just inconsistent, and it should probably have different name. It is called beta from the very beginning.

The link to the Portuguese translation is actually the link for the polish translation.

Also I'd like to know if the PT translation is for Portugal's Portuguese or Brazil's Portuguese, because I'm Brazilian and I'd love to translate it to PT-BR :)

Hello, thank you for the notice, I fixed the link.

I didn't know there was any difference, but I guess that it is up to you to find out which variation is it by looking at the texts.

Spanish translation ready:

https://github.com/kovarex/Factorio_Translation_Spanish

How can I encode that in "utf8 withoug BOM"? or you will do that, because if I replace the data files of the translation the game crashes:

and if I replace that file... :

I do it this way:
I use Notepad++, in the top menu, you can select the encoding, so you choose UTF8-WithoutBOM
If you have file that is already written in different encoding, the change would bug all the special characters, so I do it this way.
  • Control-a Control-C (Take all the text to clipBoard).
  • Change encoding To UTF8-Without BAM
  • Control-A Control-V (Replace the text)

I'm Glad to anounce that the Spanish translation are 100% tested 100% functional and 100% ready to be implemented to the game! :D :D

Thanks Kovarex for all the help, It was a file that was not in utf8-nobom, after fixing that and adding more translation to the gui menus I can say that the game is 100% translated.
