IF i have two engines pulling a train one directions then wi
i have a train with four engines two at either end and six cars in the middle do the extra engines make the train accelerate faster or am i wasting resources?
Re: IF i have two engines pulling a train one directions then wi
If the four locomotives all point in the same direction and have fuel, then the train will accelerate faster and possibly reach a higher speed, if it wasn't going ~250km/h already.
But if the two locomotives on the other end point in the other direction (a "two-headed" train) then they are just dead weight.

If the bothe trains heading in the same direction (any position) the train is faster, but the difference is not visible with that size.
This is only useful, if you have enough space left (for the bigger train station) and the distances between the train stations are big enough (>500, better >1000 tiles).
I would say as beginner try smaller trains first.

Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

Edit: Long story short - the more locomotives/wagons you have the faster the acceleration and higher top speed, up to the limit of 1 locomotive for every 2 wagons (assuming all locomotives point in the same direction).
