Train Signals Confusion
Hello! 1st time I've posted anything on any of these sorts of things, usually I just give up! So I have watched a few YouTube videos, read through guides and used some trial and error and still cannot get why my trains won't run. (To the point I'd rather just belt everything over even large distances... I mean... It would be faster...). I seem to have understood that you need an "in" rail and an "out" rail so everything can flow smoothly. This was a major hold up. I've attached a picture that shows an example issue but it's not the only one. Do every area of rails need conjoining signals to run? Once you have more than one train? Any additional hints and tips would be great thank you. Specific help with my broken Junction would be nice too

Re: Train Signals Confusion
First, you need to know which train goes where so you know on which side to place signals.
Second, when you know the routes, you can start placing signals. If all tracks are 2 ways than you have to place signals on both sides of the track. Chain signals are used for going into/in the junction and normal signals are used at the exits.
I'll try to make an example of your junction in a min

Re: Train Signals Confusion
To me it seems that you have way to few signals in and around the loop. I only see those trains on the map, but i think the train cant move because a signal block extends over all rails attached, even if the trains can go there or not, so the train at the right is problably looking at the botton right track, around the entire track and looks at itself. and the other ones see that train too, add signal at all the inputs and outputs of the loop and it should work.
Re: Train Signals Confusion
If I read your train map correctly than you only need a normal signal at the bottom right track going out and a chain signal going in for the track in the bottom middle as in the picture below:
Also don't really see the need for the right side of the roundabout cus the trains from the bottom can only go to the top left track if I'm not mistaken and would never make an entire loop and the top right tracks will do the same, even if they go to the bottom right track.

Re: Train Signals Confusion
1st Thanks for such quick responses! Jhonny and The Eriksonn. 2nd sorry for taking so long to respond to your speedy replies! 3rd, it seems to work now, I will look at this set up for a while to see the logic. Thanks again and no doubt watch out for my next train dilemma! James
