A bit of DANGER: limited tech freeplay/sandbox in the Demo
A bit of DANGER: limited tech freeplay/sandbox in the Demo
Hello, while i was playing the demo; I thought that i would like to jump into freeplay/sandbox mode. So I went into the fourms, grabbed some "Factorio-quickstart-scenarios" and dumped those files into the level-3 file of the demo. Could play with a closed off tech tree and just a bit of steam power. Not much of a danger to the game/community but still putting this out there. Don't know how to fix this (Code is foreign to me) or if you guys would want to but good luck.

What is the danger exactly?

I think he means the fact that downloading maps are a way to bypass the DEMO limitation in some way.kovarex wrote:What is the danger exactly?

I don't think there is a real danger. Nobody I know would take this route to get access to parts of the game not accessible by the demo, they would just go to one of the many torrent sites and download the full game from there.

Well, I was speaking in terms of non genuine ways to getting access, as OP was.Tami wrote:... or they pay 10 Euro and download this game

Thanks for the report, but this problem is really a small one, moving to not a bug.
I have no idea what I'm talking about.
