When items are being carried along a belt (not stopped) and a burner inserter tries to grab from a corner, it is too slow and refuses to grab anything (from either side of the belt).

Hi, sorry if not a bug:
When items are being carried along a belt (not stopped) and a burner inserter tries to grab from a corner, it is too slow and refuses to grab anything (from either side of the belt).

same thing will usually happen with regular inserters as well, so not really a bug to me, but a handicap for using low-tech inserters.

Yes, this is not a bug. It is a limitations of the slow inserters.
