Remote editing of entity settings on logistic building area

Post by Dio999 »

TL;DR
Remote editing of entity settings on logistic network or near spidertron (in a building area)

What ?
Allowing to remotely edit:
-factory recipe
-logistic requests(chest and spidertron)
-chest settings
from map view or further away around the player where the target is inside a logistic network/spidertron building area. Construction robots would go and apply the settings, and pick up items if required.

the access of factories and chests would reuse the same user interfaces, but it would not be possible to pick up the items from them. The copy and paste settings commands would also work remotely.

Why ?
With space age the player should be able to have greater remote control to avoid having them return for a trivial task such as changing a number on a logistic request, like was done with remote train control.

Also is a QOL improvement for same planet usage and removes the need for the copy paste workaround.

Thanks

I think that's already taken cared of for 2.0: https://www.factorio.com/blog/post/fff-380
