Research graph similar to production graphs to visualize research speed over time.

It would be nice to see how fast the research has been made over the minutes and hours, just like there are production and electricity graphs. For...umm...research purposes.
Maybe, when looking at longer timescales, there would be icons on a graph to show when something was researched.

In addition, it would also be nice if a research progress bar would turn yellow if the research has not made progress for half a minute or longer to quickly indicate that research is not receiving supplies.

Science packs already show up in the production graph.

It would be nice to have something like the old Civilization game where there's an estimate of how much time it will take to complete the current research. (This is a rough estimate based on progress in the last few minutes.)

Also there could be an alert if research is not progressing. (Although it's already possible to do this with the circuit network and programmable speaker.)

I'm not crazy about having graphs of "research progress" because the requirements for different technologies are different.

optimal research time, based on current lab count and calculated research time, based on lab activity.

How would you quantify that, exactly? What would be the numbers you'd see on those graphs?

As was said, science "bottles" are shown in production/consumption graphs already.I can't really think of something other to quantify while it would still give reasonable numbers.

As for time-to-completion, there are mods for that. Research queue and EvoGUI can show that estimation.

I found a problem. Namely, the the science pack production has stopped, the production icons for research packs don't show up.

You can always switch to a longer time period and find the packs from the list that way.
