mod option for hiding weapon slots

TL;DR

Mods should be able to remove the weapon slots in the bottom left.

What ?

When using https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Pacifist (or another mod to disable the combat portion of the game), the bottom-left character UI looks like

showing empty weapon slots that cannot be filled. It would be nice if they could be hidden entirely.

There's been previous requests to allow more weapon slots like viewtopic.php?f=6&t=68158&p=415003 and viewtopic.php?f=6&t=99692&p=551217 (and mods to work around the issue like https://mods.factorio.com/mod/weapon-bandoleer ), so perhaps the mod option could be for setting the number of slots and accept zero to hide them entirely.

Why ?

I want a non-violent Factorio game because I think it will make it easier to introduce the game to children in some circumstances. The existing https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Pacifist mod gets most of the way there; I would like to be able to remove the remaining references to weapons or violence as much as possible.
