Factorio 0.10.4 experimental bugfix release has just been released.

• Bugfixes:

  • Pickup items and zoomin/zoomout works even when assigned to mouse cursor that is over gui.
  • Fixed the non-fitting graphics of the belt in the underground belt for north+west direction (https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... =30&t=4901).
  • Game guis don't interact when the game is paused(https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... f=7&t=4891).
  • Fixed that the provider chests started to be ignored under some circumstances (https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... f=7&t=4600).
  • Fixed that the requester chests was ignored when the deliver failed (robot destroyed or similar) (https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... f=7&t=4548).
  • Fixed the direction of input/output underground belt structure.
  • Workaround for sound problems with pulseaudio (https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... =41&t=2489)
  • The Factorio.exe (Windows systems) has the Factorio icon included.
  • Fixed the wrongly drawn rails and other larger structures on the map on the edges of the chunks.
  • Fixed the tooltip delay label not showing correct value when the Settings windows was opened.

  • Fixed that changing text of textfield from script didn't update the text of the field until the game was reloaded

• Modding:
  • Disallowed duplicate technology ingredient and duplicate lab input. (https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... f=7&t=4917).
  • Better error message when prototype is not loadable. Type of the prototype and mod(s) that created/changed the prototype is displayed.
• Scripting:
  • Fixed dummy caninsert functions for car and character(https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... f=7&t=4848).
  • Call to teleport keeps entity orientation(https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... f=7&t=4837).
  • Orientation of car and fish can be changed via entity orientation property in lua api (i.e. car.orientation = 0.21).
  • Added game.player.force rechart command, to force recharting of the whole map.

Use the automatic updater if you can (check experimental updates in other settings) or download full installation at http://www.factorio.com/download/experimental.

This one crash after 1 or 2 minutes of working with my savegame. Return back to gnome.
I use 64bit Linux version on ubuntu 12.04.
First time I see your game crashing

every time i save the game, the game crashes??? i can't save now

i checked the experimental download on game nothing happened.
the link is not functionining in me. .

why?.

If I were you, I wouldn't update. All my games are crashing because of a Logistics network bug. I have no way of reverting back to 0.10.3 unless I download the entire game again and most of my saves are already saved in 0.10.4 so they'll be unplayable in 0.10.3. So now I'm stuck downloading and waiting and I won't be able to play my saves...

RESCANNING RADAR... I gave up on waiting for this a looooong time ago. And finaaaaaly it's here.... and the patch is bugged and unplayable when you reach logistics bots.... damnit.

Anyways, great work as usual (aside from the last minute bug ofc), also good to see that mutliplayer seems to be coming along nicely. maybe even a crude version rdy for testing by end of...lets say august? or early september? or how about next friday?

The upgrade works for me but the game crashes when it applies.

Prompts to update
Accept update and downloads
Game then crashes (get dialog about game has stopped working)
Press ok, game restarts and patch has been applied.

Was going from 10.3 to 10.4

Windows 8.1, should I make a bug report or is this expected behavior?

I crash too few seconds after loading save, Windows 8.1 x64

10.0.2 on windows had a bugged updater

Yay! We can rotate and teleport a fish now...if only there was a way to attach lasers to them...oh never mind, I'm sure we can think something out.

Getting a crash to desktop on Windows 7 x64 after a few minutes of playing my .3 save. It's happened about 3 times now.

Yeah, the crash appears to be due to a major logistics system bug introduced in 0.10.4. Leaving a network while a bot is trying to deliver goods seems to crash, as well as removing a roboport with bots flying nearby.

Pretty showstopping and gamebreaking. Here's hoping the devs are working on a fix, because I can't even really play until they release a patch for this.

Well, I'm gonna hold off with this update until there is a hotfix or the next version comes out, seems to be a bit of a gamble at the moment...

Just update and start a separate world where you force yourself to do everything with conveyor belts and trains!

I think I may do so when I get the new update if they haven't released 0.10.5 or whatnot yet.

Dear designers/programmers and other guys working on Factorio,

First of all; good game, nice concept and prior to 10.4 the ganme always worked fluently.

However with the 0.10.4 patch my game frequently crashes.

I get the message 'factorio has stopped working' which is weird because I have enough raw materials for the factory to keep working. Subsequently the game crashes ans shuts down.
Sometimes I don't get the 'Factorio has stopped working' message but the game stalls. Though I love the new graphics. Looking at a still image of my factory is not the intended gaming experience you guys have in mind when designing this otherwise awesome game!

Then when reloading the game via an autosave and doing the stuff exactly as I did before the crash; the game crashes again.

As I read in this forum, many have more or less the same issue with crashing in this 0.10.4. The previous versions did not crash.

But to be more serious, the crash is probably a result of a bug related to roboports and logistic-player-requests and will be fixed soon. If you can exclude that reason a new post in the bug-report section with more details is appreciated.

Okay, I looked with somewhat more detail in the crash after your suggestion and indeed I was on the edge of the yellow area and just added a personal request for the logistics robot.

So my crash is related to the posts already on the forum and I wont add anymore pressure there. Ill just stay within the green area and have my construction robots do the work for me. Adding a bit more challenge I'd say. Overall I think you guys make a game with the best alpha.

Can't play since I have updated the game, it crashes every time. Can't wait for a hotfix.

Try downloading the full installer for 0.10.3 - that should get your gaming going again.
