Hello,

Factorio 0.10.12 has just been released, we consider this a stable candidate again.
  • Bugfixes:
    • Fixed that it wasn't possible to set a filter.
    • Fixed that fast replacing moved items primary to character, it made upgrading chests and machines not practical. Instead, when fast replacing, the content is always transferred to the new entity, when it can't fit, it transfers to player, and if it can't be moved to the player as well it makes the good old item bomb.
    • The right ui container is slightly larger, so it can contain the roboport info without enlarging.
    • The worm turrets are not taken into consideration when deciding enemy expansions.
    • Fixed that enemy expansion candidates were not updated correctly when base was destroyed.
    • Fixed that combat robots were on the map/minimap.
    • Fixed extra mousebuttons over gui behavior (https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... f=7&t=5810).
  • Balancing:
    • The maximum distance of enemy expansion was increased from 5 to 7.
  • Scripting:
    • makefile, takescreenshot and removepath now use logger to report failures, minor fixes in the path verification
Use the automatic updater if you can (check experimental updates in other settings) or download full installation at http://www.factorio.com/download/experimental.

I don't think humanity would suffer if this was called the 0.10 stable release.

In spite of the minor issues remaining I think this will be our awaited stable version.

Enjoy the quick radar rescan when loading old saves (done since there were changes to what is drawn on the map)

Normal biters already settle. I've seen new nests but never caught them in the act. There is one thread here where someone saw biters turn into worms when making a new nest.

I think I caught them in the act once, a group in the middle of nowhere all gathered together, far from pollution. After wiping them out I came back later to find a single worm.

0.10.12 is the next stable release after 0.9.8, right? When will Factorio be able to auto-update to this stable release?

Probably when 0.11 is released as the next experimental.

The automatic updater should work already, if it doesn't work, it might be a bug.

It hasn't worked so far (although I never tried the experimental option). However, I just downloaded the latest stable release manually and reinstalled Factorio. Now it seems to be able to auto-update. Soooo... I should have thought of that sooner XD

I think that the updater in the 9.8 release was bugged, because when my version was 9.8 and I enabled experimental updates it wouldn't update (And I'm assuming regular updates wouldn't work either), so I had to manually install it. Seems to work fine in later versions though.

Yeah, it didn't work on a different PC either. But the fix is nominal.

Any chance of an 0.11.1 release this weekend?
