Bugfix release 0.11.3 is here.

Please note, that we didn't fix all the reported bugs, but we just tried to solve the most game braking ones.
  • Bugfixes
    • Fixed crash when building trains.
    • Fixed that the sandbox scenario was not working.
    • (Hopefully) Fixed the missing inet_pton message thus fixing the WinXP compatibility.
    • Fixed that the alert sounds were not working sometimes.
    • Fixed crashes when roboport was destroyed or lost power.
    • Fixed potential crash after using game.removeofflineplayers.
Use the automatic updater if you can (check experimental updates in other settings) or download full installation at http://www.factorio.com/download/experimental.

That is not a mistake, the idea of this is, that people can run the tests.bat and we can see if their system perform exactly the same deterministic way as expected.

Hello, thanks for the quick bugfix,

So my friend still have a gamecrash when we finish a research. but we investigated the bug a bit and it appears it occurs also in singleplayer.

We did some testing and my friend is playing with the game in french, when he put it in english the game no longers crash. So i think there is a problem with the french localization and the trigger when a research finish.

We seem to get some random factorio crashes (Exe doesn't work anymore) that we didn't have with 11.1. It could have to do with setting up logistics. I'll investigate further.

Are you guys interested in the test results? Should we create a thread to collect them from difference architectures and OSs?

Well we would first want to try the idea. The idea is, that we need to be sure, that the game works properly and in deterministic way on players computers, so when there are desync bugs, we first can guide the people to try to run the tests to see if it isn't some hardware/system difference making the problem.

But I was thinking of some integration into Factorio, that theses tests could be started directly from the gui, or during the first start.

The best idea would be: Everyone starts the test and the people with a problem show the results. ^^

This might be quite important.

What is your OS? what kind of messages it gave you? We should log this automatically and offer to send it to us, but the better integration of the tests is just one of our many tasks.
