No, this is the exact opposite, if there were 0.13 features shown off in FFFs, then there are no more bugs to fix, so we can make it stable :D Because there was nothing new development-wise means, that it's not stable. :)

I didn't know that you expected us to be real humans. I am still connected to the matrix.

May be that is why I would definitely take that money and heck I would bribe some of the officials who decide the list of companies that gets the money.
I guess my morale sensor got corrupted when they hooked me into the system.

I certainly hope thats not the case. Personally I disagree strongly with the politics in this post but I don't think there's much point arguing online about it.

When read that part in the FFF my mind went "aha! politics!" and basically just skipped to the next paragraph :)

That we don't have a flamewar about it is probably because the audience for the game is still too small to attract the unkempt masses.
Just you wait until after Factorio makes it through Greenlight. This forum will FILL with retards, and you'll need to watch your words much more carefully.

And/or stop reading the forums. That works too. It's usually how it goes with growth. Devs HAVE to stop reading them to preserve (some of) their sanity.
Basically: enjoy it while it lasts ;)

Oh but isn't it obvious? Kovarex is secretly wishing for flamewars! That's actually the whole reason Factorio is going on Steam! I'm a genius!

So you are calling us narrow minded now!?

Political establishment is one of the most divisive topics you can have, short of religion. However, because of the voting age, it doesn't really come into your life until you are a young adult. People tend to approach topics with reason when they are older. You can still get a heated discussion, but you will rarely get rage tantrums.

Either most programmers are kids then, or code indentation is a topic with flammability so high not even elders can resist.

The best part? The forum where I've first seen this had this in a humor topic, then everyone seriously went and argued about tabs and spaces.

Amazing.

Yeah - indentation was not a big problem in our team. We even go to agree on using spaces for it without problems.
Braces and new lines for those - this went on for quite long :D

I've heard a story (no idea if it's true) where a team was arguing whether to use 2 spaces or 4 for indentation. No one would compromise so the lead decided to offend both groups the same and picked 3 :D

What's there to argue about with tabs and spaces, spaces are clearly superior…

Thus sucks worse then I can describe without profuse swearing!
Please fix this ASAP.

If you're talking about distractor capsules - they never followed you around. Defenders and destroyers follow you (and count against the researched limit). Distractor capsules don't follow you. Never have. (as an upside, they also don't count against the limit, you can deploy as many as you want)

Wow. Never knew that.

I've only used 1'st and 3'rd tier ones before.
Are they also supposed to move like a logistics drone with no power?

They're not supposed to move at all after deployment :) I guess the hint is in the name, they're made to distract the biters while you're either burning up their bases or bravely running away

Even as a relative left-winger this stuff irks me. Nitpicking stuff to death (the aforementioned vacuums) doesn't help anything. The idea shouldn't be to fight the market or micromanage the market but to use the market. Go after the one thing you really want and let the market sort out the details. If carbon is important, restrict that and let the market determine what the best method for doing so is. A good government - even a good socialist government - doesn't waste the peoples' money paying bureaucrats to regulate trivialities.

And art? Art can take care of itself. And for these purposes, games are art. There are a thousand ways for money to make it's way from fans to artists if the art is worthwhile. The government doesn't need to be involved.

The way I read this, it seems like the large game studio is being given money for making a game with plot. If that's correct, I think Factorio should get some lore:
"Player leaves planet due to misappropriated taxes with the intention of starting their own new world."
