Two things got me : the new trailer and an "ad" from a Gnomoria player on Gnomoria forums who basically said "if you like this game, you might like Factorio too". I did indeed :)

I think the "MP Effect?" label is more likely to have been Zisteau and Arumba's influence.

one thing really interest me : with the new logic network, will we be able to compare amounts of two item together ? (to be able to have the same amount of two (or more) items)

It's listed on the factorio main page:
http://www.factorio.com/ wrote:So far 78721 people have bought the game.

Probably... Comparisons is surely one thing the combinator can do. But let's wait until next Friday... then it will be explained in more detail anyways. :D

Indeed, they and Quill18 and likely some other larger streamers/youtuber's I don't follow probably resulted in a lot of sales when they did their first video series.

Thanks for posting sales stats! Very refreshing to see that kind of data. Coming from a business background I would love to see a graph of cumulative sales over time.

Just for my understanding, on your trello picture on 0.12 column. There is one card "Footsteps sound doesnt match precisely", and another "Player footsteps are out of sync with sound". I think you can save a lot of time if you only solve the problem once ;).

Yup, I came here after seeing Quill do a livestream of factorio, a few weeks before the new trailer came.

So - any speculations as to what is the mysterious "Spider"? Let's start guessing :)

I'd also be interested in the proportion of the different tiers that are sold :)

The new trailler was actually a success. I showed to a few people that don't like RTS or the idea of Factorio, but said that the trailler was really cool.

yay, project management.... let's see

Red is for bugs... wait, why are there bugs listed for backlog?
Pink seems to be audio. Oh I am so looking forward to kill those annoying logistic robot sounds.
Blue might be networking and internet stuff
Orange could be new game mechanics and items
light green is clearly multiplayer stuff
dark green is hard to pin down, but I guess it is about maps
black is graphics
purple could be performance and cpu time sinks
(as you work with C++, this might help: http://gameprogrammingpatterns.com/data-locality.html )
yellow if difficult as well, Might we gamesaving stuff and data management.

Unannounced features:
Flamethowers, burn em, baby
Spiders, maybe a new enemy type, or it might be a new type of drone to support the player.
What is a headless mode?
PVP, WHEEE. I can already see fishfarms and rows of laser turrents facing each other
Does the multiplayer relaying mean there will be servers to find MP-partners easier?

Headless is usually referred to as in "running without having graphical display", in other words it's propably work towards the dedicated server stuff, so that you can run a "server" client without any graphical output, only console.

Oddly enough, I heard about this website called "tastekid" that would recommend things based on things you already liked. I put in a few games that I liked, and most of the results were games I already knew about (and usually already played)--Dwarf Fortress, Terraria...but then there was this one called "Factorio" that I had never heard of. So I did a web search...

What actually got me to buy the game, though, was the trailer on the home page. ;) (I showed the trailer to a couple of my friends, even though I knew they wouldn't actually buy the game. "I know this isn't your kind of game, but the video is awesome...")

Also: "rice and water", haha, ouch.

I would have to say that an EPIC new trailer should be made for the steam release . I would also recommend realeasing to steam as a finished game with future updates to come instead of the "Early access" tag . I have supported and played alot of early access games and factorio is more complete then almost any other Early access game i have ever seen ...... And even more then some Ubisoft ps4 games .. lol
