Inserter option to pick up items when items on belt stopped

Post by kengonakajima »

This inserter picks items only when the belt is stucked.
This could be done with chests: pick items up only when the chest is full.

By this we can set up an over-flow filter on a belt or chests.

I think this can be done alredy (dont think its a feature buuut)
With express belts, in curves and only in curves, inserters arent fast enough to pick the item when going through, im not sure if it works with fast inserters.
I noticed today while messing up with some stuff.

(I hate getting answers like this, but)
as much as I would also love this, it can be mostly achieved by using smart chests/inserter.

What are you trying to achieve?

You can make that also with a splitter-cascade.

Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

I thought the inserter option can save space and our time than smart inserters and cables or splitter cascade,
but I've never got an idea to use fast belt. It's a great idea!!
