I really don't like when Inserters take more than they need. Sometimes my Assembly Machines have more ingredients than they need, or a chest takes everything on a transport line. Maybe Smart Inserters could have an adjustable limit to how many items they can hand off.
For instance: In x minutes, take n of (type of) item. In essence, an adjustable speed for the smart inserter.
Sometimes I run out of filter slots and no room for another Inserter. Maybe the Automation Research Tree could add additional slots in the Smart Inserter.

You can connect smart inserters with smart chests with the use of green and red wire. You put a smart inserter and a smart chest down. You connect the chest by clicking on it with green/red wire and connecting it to a electric pole. You do the same for the smart inserter. Now you have a red/green wire option in your smart inserter.
