It would be nice to be able to replace small power pole with a medium one without removing it first, and vice versa. Big pole could be also supported but it needs to check if the larger footprint fits the space.

For me this idea makes only sense, if you can also move poles by drag&drop.

You can replace belts and assemblers by their upgraded versions, so it makes sense to do the same with power poles.

For the ground plate it is basically the same problem as with replacing for example a splitter: https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... f=6&t=4961

this should be included in the game, I dont see a reason why a pole should be an exception and be irreplaceable with the higher tier
