Sepro1 now in HD!

The original trilogy is now complete!

Sepro1 - https://soundcloud.com/theterranastrona ... -sepro1-hd

This one was the hardest of the 3 by far. (Which I knew it would be...and it's why I saved it for last)

The list of toughness : Custom white noise effects, had to make my own *grumble* crickets *grumble*, and lots of layered percussion samples to get the sounds I wanted. (4 different layered samples to make the 1 prominent metallic snare/bongo)

I changed the mix from a foresty vibe over to more of an industrial vibe (mainly changing the timbre/nature of the percussion from organic/woody to metallic, with heavier, less airy reverb). Should pair up better with the intro re-work. I like it, but, leme know what you think!

Also changed some arrangement here and there...Shouldn't be too noticeable.

-Enjoy!

Thanks for doing that; I've played long enough that these tracks were very familiar (though the replacements have grown on me) so when I saw you post this I just had to package them up into a mod: http://db48x.net/factorio/original-musi ... _0.0.1.zip

At some point in 0.12 they made it super simple for a mod to add new ambient tracks, so this was quite easy; I expected to have to resort to terrible hacks. The only downside is that all players in a MP game will have to have it.

Do you mind if I post this to the mod forum?

Nope, don't mind at all.

Also, if you want the tracks processed into .ogg it'd be better to do it from my sequencer, and it's not much effort. Could provide the .ogg pack as a .rar and provide the link to my mediafire. I can also do more of an official master on the 3 tracks as a group so they're all the same volume if that helps. I'm not sure whether or not the game normalizes volume, and I was treating each track as its' own entity. Haluzsqua is a fair bit louder than the other 2.

Leme know!

Hm. I think it's possible to make a mod out of it...

Sure, go ahead and and I'll update them. The game only supports ogg vorbis, as far as I know.

Ok, normalized the 3 tracks and evened them out. They should all fall near the same dynamic range. Some difference between pieces due to their nature. but they're close! Haluzsqua no longer noticeably louder.

Can grab the zipped file with all 3 rendered in 320 kbps .ogg here - https://www.mediafire.com/?tfqez1os7p7tgf0

Any other tweaks? leme know.

21 "songs". In quotes, cause read this: https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... ic#p106005

As far as I can see there is no change since 0.12.4 or so...
