Another belt tip

Noticed an interesting pattern: Usually it takes 16 blue inserters (8 on each side) in order to fill blue belt to the max. Splitters usually tend to disrupt even flow and you quickly end up with patchy flow of materials.

As you already noticed I tend to keep my lines as blue belts, and turn them with splitters, so for me thats rather unpleasant news.

After some experimenting I have found out that design similar to this ( ~5 additional inserters on each side and merging later)

This design yields much more uniform flow as such it remains solid for next 8 split/merge pairs only then showing some problems.
