Expanded Production Info/chart

Post by waduk »

Please add liquid production/consumption into the production chart.
Until today, all liquid were pretty much a guess work, manual calculation.
Sure i can calculate backtrack the consumption from intermediate product, but it's tedious.

What production chart are you talking about? In-game or web-based?

The one you can see when you press P.

I agree this should be added, there's no reason not to. Though water can (and imo should) probably still be excluded.
Ignore this

A configurable filter on the chart would be nice either way.

Interested persons should take a look at this mod: https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... 92&t=14388
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

Yes. Often I'll be interested in 2-3 specific products, quite possibly ones produced in vastly smaller quantities than those 2 staples that are Iron Plates and Copper Plates. The current graph always includes all products (except, as noted by the OP, fluids) and that makes lesser products hard to compare, since they're just tiny biter fart-sized blips down at the bottom of the graph.

I'd love to be able to see my production of crude oil, light, heavy and petroleum in the production screen as well. I'd also like to have a quick overview of how my raw resource 'mining' is keeping up with demand

It might make sense to have three tabs.
1. Production (everything that comes out of a factory or refinery)
2. Resource usage (everything that goes into a factory or refinery)
3. Resource extraction (everything that comes out of a miner or pump jack)

The first two are essentially what we have now. The production of the factory and its use of raw materials. I'd add another tab which shows just raw resource production, so mines and pump jacks. That way, we'd have an at-a-glance overview if we're keeping up with production.

For filling/refilling oil from/to barrels, the statistics would count currently wrong. Also for mods, like the boxing mod....

I think we need to distinct between items (that can be produces once) and "items of items".

(Having "items of items" would be also a very cool addition, I still think that such additions are so useful, that it is no question, that we need it.)

Keywords are also: Boxes, Container and (most favorite) Cargo-box (Cargobox)
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

Are any of the liquid systems included in the production chart?

Seems like an oversight more than anything else.

There's no liquid info whatsoever, that's why i/we requesting it.
Well, you can calculate how much the liquid being consumed based on their intermediate production (plastic, sulfur, etc), but it's manual work.

I guess the production chart were remnant from early version, liquid were added later on, thus why no liquid info.
IDK, that's my guess, i didn't play Factorio from the very early days.

Well... Let's resurrect this thread.

I really would like to see Liquid consumption/production rates to be added to the Production Info window.

While I was experimenting on something I really noticed how hard it is to know if your Refineries/Cracking are able to keep up with a certain demand without doing some math on your own. Or if you have enough oil wells to feed your refineries, etc.
