Re: Where are the descriptions to all these mods???
1. Is there already a bob's mods wiki in development, or would I have to create one? 2. The one thing I think should definitely be included in the mod description is a picture of the key elements, because there are multiple things called "wood" in the game. Without being in game, I'm not ...

Re: Where are the descriptions to all these mods???
I must admit it is a bit long winded. Linking to mods.factorio.com/mods/bobingabout is probably sufficient for a mods list, as it should list everything I've published, or to my "mods" forum page. Adding an addition link to the 3rd party but official boblocale mod would be the only one I'...

Re: Where are the descriptions to all these mods???
Nice job gmilliken83. That's pretty solid. Did you make the diagrams too? Yeah, I started with LibreOffice Draw, then switched to Inkscape because I couldn't export with background color visible, then switched back because I realized all the images on the mod website have that ugly white border aro...

Re: Where are the descriptions to all these mods???
Since Bob is busy with other things and I have lots of experience doing technical writing, I figured I'd take a shot at updating the descriptions for these mods. This is going to be quite a long project, as I'm going to have to learn Lua and dig into the source code to really figure out the extent o...

Re: [0.17.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
You could make the mk1 assembler produce all tier 1 items(basic circuit board iron gears mk1 drills etc) and then the mk2 assembly machine which will do all tier 2 and 1 items plus mk3 assembly machine and so on Which means manually sorting out what can be crafted in where by introducing a lot of c...

Re: [0.17.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
With 0.17 around the corner, and the planned science changes, it got me thinking about science packs in bob mods, how the science changes in .17 might affect them, and since i had nothing better to do this morning i decided to write a post about it. I like your thoughts In the same spirit, not aski...

Other than tools there is another thing that uses up over time: Fuel. So why not make an end stage mining drill that burns fuel and restrict the fuel to mining drill head. Possible? The thing with fuel is, it'd basically only be powered by that fuel, so it wouldn't also drain electricity. One possi...
