Re: [request]Multi-Layered Assembly Machines?
This is an interesting idea. There is of course an assembly machine that does this already: The player. I suppose the question is, does it make the items simultaniously, or in order? if it makes them in order, I'd probably go and call it sometihng like a Smart Assembly machine. You tell it what pro...

Re: using "OR" in recipes not "AND"
which can create confusion, and/or beats the main purpose of the mod. Indeed. What could also be done is to simulate a crafter 'manually' by using a regular container and Lua code. You could even have a gui to select the recipes, it's alot more work but the only 'solution' that allows for this with...

Re: using "OR" in recipes not "AND"
It's not currently possible to do so in that manner, but you can actually have separate recipes that produce the same thing with different ingredients. Since the prototypes are written in a Lua file you can actually write a function to create those separate recipes, perhaps something like so (note ...

Re: [request]Multi-Layered Assembly Machines?
Which is what I meant with: (though this could clutter the crafting menu) Maybe you could do a limited set of recipes, and if possible, declare a new menu-tab for those? I think Dytech made a custom tab, though I'm not sure. yep this is exactly what i was thinking. i dig through dytech mods (especi...

using "OR" in recipes not "AND"
so (i have no idea about lua and/or modding) i have found that a recipe is simply taking an ingredient (or multiple) and creating an output (or multiple) and it uses "AND" in that manner of speaking; ingredients = { {"basic-inserter", 1}, {"electronic-circuit", 2}, {&qu...

Re: [request]Multi-Layered Assembly Machines?
While I understand SHiRKiT's sentiment, for performance reasons, I still feel it would trivialize the game as Gandalf said. That said, isn't it already possible for multiple recipe declarations to make a product? Like basic and advanced oil processing? This could mean you can already make a mod of ...
