Re: Kage848 with an LP
experiemental release? nah, that'll be buggy and unstable as fuck I do tell people that I plan on staying clear of 13.0. That I won't start the grand coop MP game I've played until 13.1 comes out. But yet, Factorio is very stable. It's also late alpha. Just labeling it as "alpha" is a bit...

Re: Friday Facts #105 - The Grey Zone
Speaking of which, will you attend http://www.gdsession.com/ ? Never been there, but there was Vávra apparently, so that's a seal of quality. Me and kovarex were there last year. We even had a short Factorio presentation on Friday before the conference in the bar (but it was loud, overcrowded and w...

Re: Factorio screenshot submissions
I have sent a link to this topic to Albert (our main artist) who will be putting together the final set of screenshots. However it would make things much more flexible if there were links to saves as well because sometimes he might want to tweak things a little bit or use a slightly different compos...

Re: Friday Facts #105 - The Grey Zone
Thanks for the input guys, quite some valuable material there. Based on the discussion in the previous FFF (and also based on the amount of work we were running behind) we decided to skip the planned Steam November release and wait till January. So we have like 3 months for preparations and polish. ...

Re: Friday Facts #105 - The Grey Zone
I don't think I agree with Factorio being Tower defense genre. http://i.imgur.com/bBHRGAF.png It's pretty obvious what Factorio is - a walking simulator  Okay, now for what I think of the presskit, if it really bothers anyone: Trailer first, great idea. As I've said before, the trailer is ...

Re: Version 0.12.8
At the moment there is still work in progress on some of the outstanding bugs. On top of that the issues that have been fixed are not super critical to warrant the release. Hence the 0.12.9 will most probably happen next week.

Yup, the work on the ambient tracks is still in progress ...Peter34 wrote:I notice that the last few update notes haven't added more tracks, or at most only a very few. I hope more will get added. Re: Friday Facts #104 - Deadlines ahead
Thanks for all the inputs related (not only) to the release date of the game. Actually we were not aware of the fact that many big games release in November. We will look into this a bit more deeper and see where we could best fit the Steam EA release of the game. So basically the possibilities as I...

Re: Friday Facts #104 - Deadlines ahead
But November is always when the most anticipated games come out, it's quite literally the worst month for indie devs (no indies come out this year either). Looking at the list this year - Need for Speed, Anno 2205, Call of Duty Black Ops 3, Starcraft 2 Legacy of the Void, Fallout 4, Football Manage...

Re: Update the FAQ
Yet another game in alpha? Yes. However Factorio has a LOT of content already and is reportedly very stable. Many people have spend tens of hours in it already. Tens of hours?? I have an incredibly busy life and still spend hundreds of hours as the only game I actually am playing right now (every f...

Wow, this friday facts is really disgusting. Everyone pays taxes, all taxes go to things people disagree with. Not saying don't get political and do something about it, I'm saying the official updates are a bad place for this. We have agreed that official Factorio channels are not the place to disc...

Re: [0.12.5][slpwnd] Music hardly ever being played
So actually there was a bug which occasionally could cause the next ambient to come close to uint32_t(-1) game ticks. Which is like ... never =) This will be fixed in 0.12.6 which is coming soon as it will be a hotfix for other issues.
