Hi all,
Have been playing for a while now. And wanted to use full screen Mode. There is a problem...
But not the full "game" is show on my monitor. Missing some pix right and at the bottum.

I Use google search for simular issues, but did't find any. Don't know if this is a bug, or that there is a easy fix for this.
The attachment is a printscreen of full screen mode. also de printscreen won't show the full "game" as wat a see in a window.

Is it only on bottom? I've had simillar problems when using a TV as a monitor, I had to disable the overscan setting. Do you use a regular monitor? Does everything work correctly outside of Factorio?

The screenshot function should have captured the whole interface even if the output is on an TV with overscan, right?

Windows 8.1 shows evrything normal.
Other games are OK too in full screen.

What do you mean with "overscan setting" ?

Where is that option?

found my self a solution;

its the olderst post at bug repots;

https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... f=7&t=1598

I guess everyone on windows 8.1 on laptops with hdmi got this.

The game now starts in a better resolution!! i can even see more storage space in provider chest now, because of also scales smaller now.

This option, schould be on default i think on windows 8.1

Oh well, who would have thought that there is a "cripple my resolution" option in windows :-) Anyway, I'm glad that it works for you now.

Thats called a "New Feature" introduced by Microsoft in Windows 8.1 ONLY. (not in windows 8!)
And is default enabled.

So might be handy to do a for the installer check. IF windows 8.1 then make a shortcut on desktop, with the DPI settings turned Off.
I have seen a lot of printscreen of windows 8.1 with factorio running on the forum with the "cripple my resoluion feature enabled" (you primary see this if there is a big user interface, that does not compute with a windows 8.1 computer with usally a widescreen / hd (then you would have a beer interface what i now have)
MIght solve also some bug report that are unsolved in bug reports. like the switching screen (because windows DPI settings will auto scale the resolution, and that is something i don't think factorio supports?? yet?. i guess)

just a suggestion
